We have just returned from great 2 week stay at the Movieland hotel.This hotel is situated in an excellent location on I Drive across road from Wet and Wild,I ride stop 9 at front door and 5mins walk away from Universal Orlando and next door to the Black Angus Steakhouse and is also 300 yards from a 24hr Walgreens.
The rooms are typical american style large clean and comfortable plus all rooms have a PC and free internet access and cable tv.Housekeeping is to a very high standard there is a large pool with free towels and the hotel has ample car parking.
Felt very safe at this hotel all rooms are internal so you are not walking straight from carpark into your room and hotel also benefits form monitored CCTV and security guards at night.The hotel also appears to be in the process of being refitted with new carpets in hallways and rooms and new paintwork.
Ideal location for non drivers for easy access to Parks and shopping ,by foot, I ride bus,free shuttle to Universal and Seaworld and there is also a flexible shuttle service to Disney for $14 per person with various drop off pick up times.
Black Angus Steakhuse which adjoins the property offers steaks to die for and also has great bar to relax at after a long day at the parks.
Would definately recommend this hotel it is not the Ritz but offers excellent value is clean ,welcoming and most importantly safe
