Personally, I was VERY surprised by Best Western Movieland.
When we arrived, the lobby was looking pretty empty as we arrived around dinner when everyone else was out. It is for this reason, most likely, that the lady that everyone complains about selling Universal tickets did not hassle us. Anyways, the reception was VERY kind in not only aiding us through the check-in process, but also to help us find our room, the pool, and other amenities. She also walked out from behind the desk to show us outside which way to drive to get to Disney World, etc. Very helpful front desk service.
Once we got the keys, we used the elevator (which was for some reason, not very crowded though the hotel can accommodate quite many people) to get to our room. Our room was right by the elevator. Convenient, yet surprisingly sound-proof from the bustling outside the room. The bathrooms aren't 'I would eat something off of the floor' clean, but they are much cleaner than places that I've stayed in. Often, there would be a cart outside the room that the maids would leave out for guests to get toothbrushes, shampoo, extra pillows/towels, etc. Very helpful!
As for the room, large TV, contemporary furniture, and even a PERSONAL computer with internet that was remarkably fast. I was able to check up on my email and even renew a book that I had forgot to the return prior to my vacation. Looked up the map to get to the parks around the area (though they're so close it really wasn't necessary), and checked the weather for the week. Very helpful service and unique to this location.
Beds were very clean. Very comfortable, too. Pool was also VERY clean. Probably newly renovated. Nothing 'gunky' or 'icky' you usually find with hotel pools. This one was SUPER SUPER SUPER clean. I would recommend it to ANYONE. No hot tub though, but it's really not necessary. After a long day out walking at the parks and whatnot, I'd actually recommends coming to the pool instead of heading straight to bed. I found myself more r
