On may 25, 2010, I contacted ryhmes heating and cooling for emergency service as my central air unit had stopped operating at 4am. I called for emergency service and was told someone would be out. 630 am, no one had called or came out. I called again and the receptionist informed me she would again contact someone. At 730am, no one had showed up and I called the office again. At 9:00am, a manager or supervisor named (name removed) told me some one would be out in an hour . A tech showed up and he immediately turned on the unit, went outside, jabbed a screwdriver into the fan blades and the motor kicked on. He informed me that the fan motor was bad and that I needed a new one which would cost me 475.00. I told himm to order it. In two days, another tech showed up and installed it. After a few hours, it was still hot in my home, close to 81 degrees with the temp set at 68. I called the business and spoke with a (name removed) to specify that it was still hot in my home.He told me to wait a few days, because it was hot and humid outside.Well, it never got cool in my home. After a few days, I called again and another tech came out and told me that if the blade was not an issue, I would be charged again. After a few words exchanged, I told him to leave because I did not like his attitude. I called the company again and (name removed) sent another tech out. The tech told me that I probably had a leak, but would have to charge me 175.00 to find out for sure. I told him that it was unfair to charge me because the leak should have been detected when the fan blade went bad. He disagreed and his boss told him to leave. I called (name removed) again and explained my dilemma and my past positive experiences with this company and why was the company being so adamant about not solving my problem. He said he was pulling the tech again, because I was not willing to pay the 175.00. I hung up the phone and I received a message from darrin accusing me of being dishonest about the unit.
