We got our windows during their buy 2 get 2 free sale, in January 2009. Eight windows ended up costing $1000 each. That was a steep price. We were convinced by the salesman it would lower our bills and came with a lifetime warranty (meaning they will fix or replace ANYTHING at any time during your ownership). So, we cleaned out our savings and got the windows. They were great the first 2 times I had to call them out to adjust the fittings. I couldn't open or shut them without help. "A snug window is an energy efficient window". In August I noticed one of the windows was bowed in the middle and there was a gap between the window and the wall. They sent someone to remeasure and said it was the correct size. I showed him it took a floor jack to open it (figuratively speaking). He said "Is that all? You just can't open it?" I had to point out the 1/8" gap around the top. He said they'd have it rebuilt. In November I called to see what the holdup was. I should add that from January to November, I've taken 5 vacation days so I can be there when they come to work on the windows. I'm losing work time and money, not to mention my boss is starting to doubt my Champion Windows excuse. In November, Bambi said my window was almost finished. She would give me a call and set up a time to install it. It's now April 29, 5 months later and I haven't heard from them. Our energy bills haven't changed that much. ONG doubled the service charge and winter was much colder than usual, so it's quite possible we saved a little. Our summer bills weren't that much different. I can't say the windows have been worth the investment. I wish I'd listened to Buyer Beware by Dave Ramsey before buying these windows. We could have installed our own for $150 each and seen the same results on our bills.
