CON ARTIST....... 5/26/2011

I wouldn't weast your time listening to there sale pitches. There salespeople are trained to represent themself as a manufacturer of there exclusive confort 365 glass when Champion doesn't even manufacturer any glass at all. They just purchase there glass from "Cardinal Glass Company" which is one of about five major glass manufactures that supply most of the national window companies with the same glass. Cardinal Glass calls that same flat glass product by "366" glass. Why pay Champions way over inflated prices when you can get the same glass product installed for about half of Champions so called 50 percent discount price. No one should have to pay $1,000.00 per for vinyl window. It is just a big 3 hour sale pitch that your paying for. Champion also use contracted installation labor that they like to call there own employees and they are not employees of Champion at al. They just require the sub-contrctors to wear there shirts while on all there projects to give the appearance that they are employees. The installers are pressured to install there products as fast as possible as they are only payed per product only. That causes all types of hurried up and poor installations. Champion likes to try to scare its customer by telling horible stories of some little old lady from Stillwater that got ripp off and if you check there story out that lady doesn't exists at all. It is just bunch of scare ticktics that there Dale and Bambi Hollaway (owners) made up and they use within there trained sale pitches. Champion does throw a lot of money at the local newspaper company for there endless ads and in return they get the "Reader Choice" Awards year after year and sometimes has to share it with one other local Window company. The newspaper say it. Reader Choice Awards" is voted on by the local people but that is a bunch of carp as it is really the good ole boy network at its best. You grease my hand and I will grease yours. If who purchased any products from these scam or con artists you will regret it. more

Lifetime Warranty, as long as it's convenient for them 4/29/2010

We got our windows during their buy 2 get 2 free sale, in January 2009. Eight windows ended up costing $1000 each. That was a steep price. We were convinced by the salesman it would lower our bills and came with a lifetime warranty (meaning they will fix or replace ANYTHING at any time during your ownership). So, we cleaned out our savings and got the windows. They were great the first 2 times I had to call them out to adjust the fittings. I couldn't open or shut them without help. "A snug window is an energy efficient window". In August I noticed one of the windows was bowed in the middle and there was a gap between the window and the wall. They sent someone to remeasure and said it was the correct size. I showed him it took a floor jack to open it (figuratively speaking). He said "Is that all? You just can't open it?" I had to point out the 1/8" gap around the top. He said they'd have it rebuilt. In November I called to see what the holdup was. I should add that from January to November, I've taken 5 vacation days so I can be there when they come to work on the windows. I'm losing work time and money, not to mention my boss is starting to doubt my Champion Windows excuse. In November, Bambi said my window was almost finished. She would give me a call and set up a time to install it. It's now April 29, 5 months later and I haven't heard from them. Our energy bills haven't changed that much. ONG doubled the service charge and winter was much colder than usual, so it's quite possible we saved a little. Our summer bills weren't that much different. I can't say the windows have been worth the investment. I wish I'd listened to Buyer Beware by Dave Ramsey before buying these windows. We could have installed our own for $150 each and seen the same results on our bills. more
