Review content:
I went to Nidda Thai with a group of ten coworkers. We called ahead to let them know a big party was coming and upon our arrival they pushed together a few tables so we could all sit together. Their lunch specials are nice, especially since you can choose your protien. The lunch special came with a small salad with peanut dressing and a spring roll with lettuce and noodles in it (no protein). The salad tasted like it came from a bag, but the peanut dressing was nice. I ordered the green curry with tofu for an entree and it was delicious. I asked them to make it moderately spicy and I was glad that they took me at my word and did not send out something that was bland OR burned off all of my tastebuds. It was a Goldilocks situation, for sure. For others who wanted more spice, they provided a container of dried chile powder on the table. I would have liked more rice to have been served with it, but the table ordered more rice which solved the problem. I ordered the coconut ice cream for dessert but my stomach turned when I saw a small bug scurrying out from under the napkin on the dessert plate. I realize that bugs happen in a kitchen but really, REALLY wish it hadn't happened on my plate. I'm torn on going back because the food was great, but bugs in my food gross me out. I don't know if the bug was caused by a lack of cleanliness in the kitchen or just that one had decided to creep into my napkin. Pros: curry, lunch specials Cons: bugs!
