On January 12th on 2007 I purchased a Serta Queen mattress set from Mattress Discounters located at 2015 Pgh. Mills Blvd. Ste 101, Tarentum, Pa ( Pittsburgh Mills Mall). It was delivered the 13th of Jan. and on the morning of the 14th I called the store to complain of a defect. All night my husband and I kept rolling to the middle of the mattress. The manager told me "give it a couple of weeks to get used to it" I tried to explain it wasn't a simple comfort matter but the store would do nothing. We slept on the mattress for the next two weeks then went back to the store that Sat. morning. We laid on the demonstrator mattress and tried to explain that our mattress wasn't at all like the one in the store. The manager said she'd have someone from their service department call me Mon. Well when Fri. came and I still hadn't heard from them I called again. This time I was told that no service person would be dispatched until I filled out a "customer concern " form. When I asked why I wasn't told this a week ago she said she didn't realize that was the procedure. The forms were sent to me, I filled the out and returned them the same day. Another week passes and again I've heard nothing. SO, again I call. They do send a person out one week later. It is now over 5 weeks since the purchase of this mattress. The service person calls me several days later to say he has spoken to the Serta rep. and though there is a sag in the middle it isn't deep enough to be covered by the warranty. My question was why a now 6 week old mattress should have any sag?? And what was Mattress Discounters going to do to help me. I was told it was Serta's problem not theirs. My comment to them was " I wrote out the check to you, you cashed it and I'm out over $1282.93 and My husband has started having back problems and there is NOTHING YOU WILL DO". I was told to take it up with Serta. I emailed Serta twice after their local rep. Craig wouldn't return my calls. Nothing, I have gotten no response. I have engaged an attorney and he's now dealing with Serta with no positive response,
