Split Rock Lodge is one of the best places in the Pocono Mountains any time of the year but it is special in the winter. Split Rock Resort has 500 acres including 125 acres on Lake Harmony in the midst of mountain scenery that you can explore by hiking, biking, or snow sports. Split Rock is near several ski resorts. The lodge has 426 guest rooms, and each room is beautifully decorated. The amenities are fabulous and provide the most in comfort. The Galleria at Split Rock has two restaurants, a pizza shop and an old-fashioned ice cream parlor. Amenities include indoor and outdoor pools, a children's pool, sauna, hair salon, barbecue grills, fitness equipment and laundry facilities. There are two indoor pools, one outdoor pool, a swimming lagoon, miniature golf, indoor and outdoor tennis, archery, bocci ball, a movie theater, bowling alley, health club, golf course, sailing on the lake, fishing, paddle boats, water-skiing, hiking, biking, cross-country and downhill skiing in wintertime, and golf at the Split Rock Country Club. With so much to do and see, I think everyone will enjoy this spot in the Poconos.
