Split Rock Lodge

The Split Rock Lodge had some of the worst service we have ever experienced on vacation. The lodging was old and dirty, the front desk could not answer simple questions and said they would call us back and never did. We paid for an entire week and left early. more

Split Rock Lodge is one of the best places in the Pocono Mountains any time of the year but it is special in the winter. Split Rock Resort has 500 acres including 125 acres on Lake Harmony in the midst of mountain scenery that you can explore by hiking, biking, or snow sports. Split Rock is near several ski resorts. The lodge has 426 guest rooms, and each room is beautifully decorated. The amenities are fabulous and provide the most in comfort. The Galleria at Split Rock has two restaurants, a pizza shop and an old-fashioned ice cream parlor. Amenities include indoor and outdoor pools, a children's pool, sauna, hair salon, barbecue grills, fitness equipment and laundry facilities. There are two indoor pools, one outdoor pool, a swimming lagoon, miniature golf, indoor and outdoor tennis, archery, bocci ball, a movie theater, bowling alley, health club, golf course, sailing on the lake, fishing, paddle boats, water-skiing, hiking, biking, cross-country and downhill skiing in wintertime, and golf at the Split Rock Country Club. With so much to do and see, I think everyone will enjoy this spot in the Poconos. more

If you are going to the Pocono Mountains to enjoy the Fall Foliage, consider staying at Split Rock Lodge. This is beautiful resort located on Lake Harmony. It is an all season resort and most of the business is in the winter for Skiing, but I like it in the fall. You can really enjoy the colors, sights and smells of Fall. http://www.splitrockresort.com/ There is so much fun to be had at the resort and surrounding area. At the resort you can swim at the indoor heated pool, exercise in the gym, relax in the jacuzzi, have ice cream at the ice cream parlor, see a movie at the theater, bowl at the little bowling alley, and enjoy arcade games in the game room. The is also a restaurant, snack bar, lounge with a TV, bar and gift shop. Outside there is Lake Harmony, an out door bar, shuffle board, volley ball nets, miniature golf, and beautiful grounds to explore. You will see deer and other wild life also. There are public parks and scenic attractions within driving distance that are sure to please so don't forget your camera. more
