Businiess name:  Gizdich Ranch

Review content:
I love, love, love Gizdich Ranch! My family and I go every summer to pick berries here. Some years the crop is excellent and some years it isn't, but we always have fun! Gizdich will allow you to self-pick olallieberries, boysenberries, blackberries, raspberries, and strawberries during the summer. The picking times vary depending on the crop, so calling ahead to find out when and what they are picking is a must! This year the crop was fantastic for olallieberries and boysenberries - two hours of picking and the four of us had over 53 pounds of berries! Raspberries and blackberries, though, were a disappointment, with very little crop to pick. The crop that was there was not at all ripe - I think they opened the crop for picking too early, because they were not ready! Prices for self-pick berries just can't be beat. It ranges from $1.25 a pound up to $2.50 a pound depending on the berry, but it is always much lower than you'll find in any store! The other thing you must do at Gizdich Ranch, after you've picked your fill of berries, is head over to the ranch house for some pie! The bakers bake them fresh every day, and sell whole pies as well as individual slices. Fresh apple juice or an apple slushy are also great Gizdich treats! In October, head over to the ranch for their annual Apple Festival, and to get some fresh apples for pies! Gizdich is a wonderful place; my family has been picking here for years, and we look forward to continuing the tradition for many years to come!
