I just took my truck in for some brake work today and I went to the place that I always go- Midas on Main st. As long as you call ahead, this place seems to always be able to fit you in within a day or two. The mechanics are honest and friendly, and they don't make you feel like an idiot just because you don't know everything about cars. They take the time to explain exactly what needs to be done and why, and they will give you an accurate estimate before they start the repairs. The waiting area is nothing fancy, but they do a have a TV, coffee pot and a few magazines. I've gone to them for state inspections, oil changes, brake work and muffler work and have never had any problems.
