Review content:
There was a day when the patient mattered and a Dr.’s bedside manner was important. Those days are gone. I went into this office with what I thought was a simple issue. I found the initial treatment recommendation rather extreme and suggested a more measured approach was warranted. While I had hoped for a direct ‘rifle-shot’ to address the problem a shot-gun approach was used. I found myself scheduled for a myriad of extra tests, none of which turned up any medical issues. I did however find myself hit with hundreds and hundreds of dollars in uncovered charges that I had to pay out of pocket, due to miscalculation/information on what my insurance covered. Their office even miscalculated my co-payments, which I was forced to pay for multiple visits where nothing different was done. I just received a final bill for $15 (due to another wrong co-payment charge). I called the business office to see whether they would waive this final fee as a courtesy, given the extraordinary expense I had already incurred. There was a resounding ‘no’ from the office manager, who quoted policy over patient/client care. In the mean time, the initial problem seems to have passed on its own. The lack of care for the patient probably exists everywhere, but you should know what to expect when you go here.
