I would have given this rating four stars or perhaps five, if they had fixed the problem the first time I brought the car in. I took my car to Baum Boulevard Automotive because my brake lights were out. I waited in their shop. Two and half hours later they had changed the bulb and told me there was something else wrong -- it wasn't the lightbulb but they had no time to diagnose it So several days later I brought my car back at. 9;00 am and left it for the day. I called several times to find out what the diagnosis was and at 12:30 I was told someone was "just looking at it". I never heard anything until 4 o'clock in the afternoon when they told me the car was fixed and the charge was $31.00 The only thing that was wrong was that there was corrosion in the socket that needed to be cleaned out so that they could get a good connection. I'm not sure how, in changing the bulb the first time, that could not have been diagnosed. I don't think the staff there appreciates how difficult it is for some of us to bring our cars in for service. We have to find someone to take us home or to drop the car off and tske us back to pay when the car is finished. I personally have had to take a cab on two occasions and it cost $25, each way, including a tip. For people who are single, taking the car into the shop is a much greater inconvenience than simply not having a car! They do nice work but their customer care is below par . I would recommend them but with the caveat. "Buyer beware" : Expect to be treated with a laissez faire attitude and without much consideration for your situation.
