Review content:
Upon picking my dog up after a 12 day stay I was shocked at how thin he was. Before he was brought out to me I was told that he wasn't eating until they added baby food to his dog food. I don't know by what point they did this, and I didn't bother to ask. I was just happy to get him out of there. He is also very lethargic, but I'm not blaming the kennel for that. He is a four year old dog that I never put in a kennel before, so I understand that it must have been quite an adjustment for him. I just didn't expect to see his backbone showing the way that it is. He looks like he's starving, and when I brought him home and fed him he ate as fast as I've ever seen him eat. I feel that this situation would have warranted the kennel to contact me. He just does not look healthy, and I'm glad I picked him up when I did before the situation got worse. The staff and kennel itself are nice, but if I had to kennel him that long again I think that I would use someone else. They were very busy due to the holidays, and for as much as they charge I think that they should have been more attentive to his deteriorating appearance. They wouldn't let me bring my own food for him when I asked at the time I was making the reservation, so that is probably where I should have thought about going somewhere else.
