My Mother-in-law bought me a gift certificate for the hotel for christmas last year. She told them she wanted to be able to use it for a room and that we lived 2 1/2 hours away. When I called to make reservations at first they had no idea what I was talking about because it wasn't a gift card. Finally they told me it would have to be made in person. So my mother-in-law drove the 2 1/2 hours to make my reservations for an atrium room with a king bed (which took her almost an hour cause the desk clerks didn't know what to do with a paper certificate). I call the week before and confirm. We get to the hotel and the desk clerk says he doesn't have us in the system and that he'll have to go ask someone how else he could look us up. he comes back about 5 mins later saying that the reservations are made through a different system and that we did not get pushed through in the check in system and that he will have to call someone. 20 mins later he is still on the phone and we're getting close to being late for dinner reservations. So we tell him we have to go and will be back and he takes our number and says he'll call when he gets the room. 30 mins later he calls and informs us that they are out of the atrium rooms and will have to downsize us to a standard room with 2 queens. My husband finally gets him to get us a king bed but it is handicap access and that they are crediting our room $75 for the trouble (the difference in the room was $75). We get back and ask for a manager. All he offers us is another $75 credit. Tired and ready to get to our room we accept this. The room was nice but right by where the tour buses unload so very loud. When we go to check out the desk clerk has no idea what has been done and thinks that our room was prepaid and wants to give is back our $400 worth of credit (in hind sight we should have took it because the idiots never got a credit card) My mother in law calls and gets another $100 out of them but as much trouble as we had we wanted a full refund that they would not give us. our room was a package that came with ICE! tickets and a souvenir photo. well the next day when we get to ICE! they tell us that we have to have a voucher for the photo that the desk clerk was supposed to print out and give us (this is when i remember the girl having 3 tickets and only handing us 2) so we have to go back to the hotel and get the voucher and take it back to ICE! It was a horrible experience and we will never go back
