Review content:
I booked GM Movers (Giant Monkey Movers) moving service from Moverscorp.com on last Sunday 05/19/2013 for Tuesday, May 21, 2013. Originally, I booked for three movers. Later, yesterday when they called to confirm, I asked to add one more mover since I have an upright piano and a large solid wood wine cellar. Both are rather heavy. I just wanted to make it easy for them to move and do not damage them.
For both large items they used four-roller dolly. I have one brick step in my front porch. I even taped cardboard on both side of the front door.
First, they did not lift wine cellar up for that one step, they let dolly rolled down and drop the cellar on the brick step. It put big dent on right side of the cellar and right side door. When they move the piano, it happened again. This time is the bottom of the piano.
The reason I asked for four movers is to reduce the weight on each and wanted them to lift large item up and carry it down one step then put it on the dolly. They failed to do that. I believe the person in charge is responsible. He needs to tell his crew how to handle the furniture. He does not have the experience. They are nice college guys though but not experienced movers.
The damage they caused to me is more than I paid them for the moving.
