I have 2 dogs that have been seen by this vet for several years. Although they seemed expensive I trusted her to take care of my animals. One of them needed dental work and I was given an estimate by the dr. It was a high-low estimate of anywhere between 1200 to 1700 to perform the work. Ouch, but she really needed it and so I agreed to have it done. I am at work on the day of the surgery and I get a call from the vet's office that my dogs mouth is much worse than they thought. With my dog under anesthesia they now tell me that it will be 3800. WHAT?? What was the high-low estimate for? After negotiating down to 2800, I had to let them complete the work or subject my dog to yet another dr's care and another oral procedure. My dog is old and traumatized by these procedures. I worked in a retail store at that time and coincidentally, in walks a vet tech from a different, very well known animal hospital in Boca.
