If you care about your camera...PLEASE...don't take it here.\r \r I am a professional photographer and I took my camera in to have the shutter replaced. I received my camera back in 1 day and was charged the hefty (and expected) amount you would pay to have a shutter replaced in a pro body camera. \r \r That weekend I was shooting a wedding with my ""new shutter"" and guess what?!!! The shutter went out after about 50 actuations. If I wouldn't have had a back up camera, I would have been in real trouble. The camera was giving me the ERR 99 message which all Canon dread...shutter malfunction.\r \r I take my camera back into International Camera the next week and tell him about the error message and the shutter failure. The owner tells me that he is not sure what happened and he will replace the shutter this time instead of trying to fix it??? HOLD ON!!! Wasn't I just charged for a shutter replacement the last time I came in?...but instead you simply ""fixed it""? At this point, I am very upset but I need my camera in proper working order, so I let them work on it again.\r \r A week later, I get my camera back and the shutter is working like a dream. However, after I complete a photo shoot, I notice that the camera is consistently back focusing. i had to refund the money I charged to the client because none of the images were usable. \r \r I take my camera back in and the owner tells me that the auto focus is ""acceptable"" and that there is nothing that he can do. After about 20 minutes of frustration one of the techs from the back comes up and tests my camera. Sure enough, he says that the camera is back focusing and needs to be fixed. I leave my camera there for another week. When I come back to pick it up, the owner tells me that it has been fixed. Upon getting home a testing it...it still is back focusing!!! At this point, I am tired of dealing with this guy's nonsense and arrogance. I am a professional photographer and he was trying to talk to me as if I bought my camera yesterday.\r \r So at this point I have paid $500 to get my shutter fixed, and all I have is a pro body camera that back focuses and a heap of frustration. However, the cherry on top is that I ran a shutter count on my camera and it is around the same number it was when I dropped it off the first time. THEY NEVER REPLACED THE SHUTTER!!! A new shutter would have reset the count to 0...BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE!!!!\r \r I am currently reviewing my legal options. My bit of advice is that if you ever have something that goes wrong with your camera, save yourself some headache and send it back to the manufacturer to fix it. The additional cost will definitely be worth the peace of mind!
