I was visting my parents on spring break. I ended up getting sick and had to go to the ER. The staffing was alright but as you all know emergency room visits can take awhile, but i expected that. What i did not expect is for the billing department to be so closed minded. I say close minded because my insurance company sent me a statement that showed i only owed a certain amount, and they of course sent me a statement saying i owed a higher amount. No problem right? i will just call them up and bring them to attention they may need to resubmit the bill. Well i called and they were not budging so maybe my insurance company is wrong, they do resubmit the bill and the amount i owe is still the same as what they originally claimed. So i call NCBH and they still are ""RIGHT"", ok next step; conference call. Conference call completed and a success, right? Wrong. Apparently they are still submitting the bill ""correctly"" and i ask them why they talked to my insurance company and said every thing was taken care of if it was not. The operator just says that they do NOT have to submit bills to insurance companies if they do not want to... Thats the right attitude is it not? I would not recommend this hospital because you will still be worrying about billing a year and a half later......or more... \r the bottom line is, the billing department needs to pull their heads out and do their jobs.
