Review content:
So I'd heard about this place from time to time, seen the billboards and always wondered about it. I thought, all you can eat sushi where they bring it to your table? Not too bad...especially that it's not buffet style where it's been sitting there all day. I joined my two friends who'd already ordered 3 rolls. The first thing I noticed was that there was an EXTREME overabundance of rice per roll. The service seemed pretty slow so when the waiter came by, I ordered everything at once to make it simple. I ordered two 6 orders of sushi, two fresh fish rolls, and a miso soup. I usually eat sashimi, so with sushi I leave the rice behind. I then read the rules of which everybody should read BEFORE they go for the all-you-can-eat. basically, it's 21.95 (really good price), but you must eat everything on your plate before ordering more (understandably) but then they charge you fro what you don't eat. okay, that's not too big a deal but they charge you for rice too!!!! so after my rolls came i was a bit bummed b/c i knew i was going to get full...there was NO way i could eat all the rice they put on there. the service was pretty below average. not friendly, not really helpful at all. anyhow...to my surprise they didn't charge for my un-eaten rice, so i left happier than i thought i would. overall, i think i'd rather pay normal price and not feel committed to eating every morsel on my plate. i know there's tons of sushi joints on ventura that have better service and fresher fish. friendlier employees as well.
Pros: big portions, average sushi, good price if you eat everything
Cons: worrying if you're going to pay for your uneaten rice, poor service, too many rules
