I paid good money to have my 10 yr old's B-day party at Spa-Kidz. The owner, Lela said IF I take pictures on my camera at the party, she would need to logo them before I could leave with them. I agreed, though NOWHERE on the website does it state this- under photography it simpliy staes they have the right to use my pictures for marketing purposes. After her party, I gave her my CF card to ""logo"". It was at this time she realized her equiptment did not take my type of memory card. Upon refusing to return the card to me, she stated she was keeping it. The pictures could not be deleted, since my camera had already gone home in a differnt car that was helping to transport the girls, she said she was keeping it. I said absolutley not and to give me my card back. She said no as she proceeded to go to the sink and WASH my CF card (MANY witness) in attempt to destroy the card and all images on it. At the end- she kept the card and I have no pictures of my daughters 10th b-day. She set a TERRIBLE example for the girls and I am sad to say as great as the party was her poor judgment and lack of character will be the memory of my daughters party. She plans to open another location in Buckhead and I am strongly suggesting that her website and ALL marketing material be updating with her no photography policy- possible even suggesting that signatures be required- I mean who doesn't take pictures at thier kids birthday party? Not that I am in any way condoning her CF card washing behavior, but am hoping to spare future moms from this type of treatment and the future girls to expierience this type of behavior.
