Review content:
It has been a while since I have been to Brewvies. While still a unique and enjoyable experience for those of us in SLC, it has dropped a couple of notches. When i first arrived a long line was extending out the door. Initially, I thought not big thing, being a Saturday, then I noticed four people were in the bar/restaurant side of things. Upon buying tickets for the movie, we were told go around the corner and wait in another equally long line to get food and drinks. After forcing our way past the teller to the empty bar we were greeted by a gruff bartender who was obviously annoyed by our buying beer and food at the 'wrong side.' Not being in a hurry, we ordered beer and wanted time to order food. This was an obvious inconvenience, shown by repeated long dramatic glances at the clock. Again we told him we were in no hurry to order food and would be ready to order when he returned with our drinks. This elicited the response, 'I'll wait for you' and again turned toward the clock. Basically, we felt like our presence was a tremendous annoyance to the staff. Again, the food was good, the beer cold and the movie experience great. I remember the place being very relaxed and accommodating. I'll be back for the good stuff, but if some competition opened up, I'd surely go there instead. Pros: Food, beer and flick Cons: Forcing moviegoers into multiple lines and rude staff
