I was a little hesitant at first; a bakery without a storefront? I found so many reviews around on the internet that I decided to give it a shot.
I ordered a cake for my girlfriend's birthday and even requested some writing on the cake. From order to receipt, it took 4 days. Just like their website mentioned, 4-5 days was right on time.
It arrived and it looked perfect. I almost pulled out a compass to test how perfectly round this cake was. It was about 5 inches tall or so and about 10 inches in diameter, so it was an ample sized cake.
The night of the party, I kept thinking about this cake. It wasn't even for me, but I just could not stop thinking about wanting to try it! It was well worth the wait! It was so moist and not in an oily moist sense, it was fluffy moist. Surrounded by that dark chocolate frosting, with three layers of cake and three layers of the coconut frosting; decadent addiction lie ahead.
It's been three days since the first slice was taken and it is as fresh as the first day, and that was two days after it arrived! This cake is a week old and I can't get enough of it! I would definitely recommend Gerald's to everyone and my girlfriend even says she prefers Gerald's over Metrotainment Bakery.
