Review content:
During my stay at the Venetian this past week, I had the opportunity to dine at Emeril Lagasse's table 10 in the Palazzo Shoppes 2nd Floor on Saturday evening. The menu was large enough to have something for everyone and you can definitely see the Cajun influence. I had the mahi mahi with shrimp, clams, lobster and chorizo in a light tomato sauce as well as the truffle macaroni and cheese. The mahi portion could be seen as on the small side, but with the lobster, clams and shrimp it's definitely a good sized meal. The flavor of blackening spices is prevalent in this dish especially on the shrimp. The mahi did not have as much seasoning which was actually a relief to take a break from the spices and have a nice light piece of fish. I actually had a large portion of the lobster on my plate, which were in the form of bite sized pieces. The truffle mac and cheese side was great as well. With just enough truffle oil it made the mac and cheese unique. I've had it previously at other restaurants where the truffle was overwhelming, but it was balanced very well at Table 10. The price tag may strike you as being a little hefty at $14 for this side dish, but keep in mind it feeds 3 easily and 4 pretty fairly. One of the others at dinner had the ribs, which in my opinion, not worth the price for the portion. It was a half slab of baby backs but they were lacking with the amount of meat to bone ratio. And the other had the BBQ chicken, which was very juicy, tender and flavorful. Aside from the hostess, the service was top notch. It's not that the hostess was bad, she just didn't have a great personality. There was always an attendant to refill your drink, give you bread or simply clean the table. I would recommend this to any one who is interested in having a good dinner and not too worried about expense. You can get out of here for under $40 per person so long as you don't get carried away on drinks or appetizers which can be tempting. Pros: Nice Menu, Attentive Staff, Great Food Cons: Somewhat Expensive
