6 of us walked over to have dinner (love that it's in our neighborhood) last month. We had a reservation and were seated promptly even tho the restaurant and bar were full and people waiting at the door. Our server was attentive and helpful, even as busy as it was. I ordered a gin and tonic and the server said they make their own tonic water - it had the perfect balance of bitter and sweet. We ordered scotch eggs, sweetbreads, roasted marrow bones for starters and practically licked the plates clean. The piedmontese hanger steak was perfectly prepared, and melted in your mouth. The smoked brisket was so full of flavor and fall-apart tender - and a huge portion! The mac and cheese was tasty, but I prefer it creamier with more sauce. I didn't taste it, but the salmon was pronounced a winner, too. I was too full for dessert, but apparently it was good, too - everyone else polished it off....\r Also, their meat counter at the entrance has a great selection of their in-house prepared sausages, pates, etc. Everything I bought out of the case soon after they opened was fabulous. Some of the best frankfurters I've ever tasted, too. Pros: delicious food and drinks, great service Cons: a long wait unless you have a reservation
