Review content:
We went to Manhattan's for my husband's company Christmas party so we were in a private room rather than the main dining area. We started off with an array of appetizers which were all wonderful. My favorite were the seafood stuffed mushrooms. I couldn't get enough of them! I had read reviews of this restaurant before we went so I knew to pay attention to the special. I'm so glad I did because the beef tenderloin stuffed with prosciutto and goat cheese with a sherry peppercorn sauce and portabella mushrooms was melt in your mouth good. The house pinot noir was also one of the best I've had. Reminded me a little of LaCrema. For dessert I had tiramisu. All I can say is WOW! Being from a big city, Lufkin was a bit ""small town"" for me. But what a hidden treasure Manhattan's turned out to be! I can't wait to go back to Lufkin so we can eat here again.
Pros: Food, wine, service
Cons: hard to find
