They are what they claim to be ""Curly hair experts!""
I went there by recommendation of a curly friend of mine who had an appointment with Rachel Hoang. When my friend showed up to work one day, I could not help but notice a dramatic difference on her hair, and she told me about Aura salon, and their expertise with curly hair. This salon is far from my home, but I would happen to be in the area in two days to run another errands so I called in for an appointment. I could not book it with Rachel, but booked it with Ivy Cecy instead. She is a very friendly young lady, with beautiful curly hair, and beautiful smile. We talked for a long time about curly hair, and most of the appointment was dedicated to educating me on how to properly care for my curls. She asked how I usually style my hair before getting it cut, and said that the curly cut might not look good when I style my hair straight. I said it is ok, because I never style it pin straight, usually I straighten it, and then use hot rollers. RIght after the hair cut, my curls were so bouncy and ""happy"", I loved how defined they were. She gave me very important tips on how to wash, how to apply curling products, and how to dry it to get nice volume at the roots on the top of my head ( something I was never able to master until I met her) A few days later I decided to style it with my hot rollers, and my hair looked so unbelievably beautiful... fuller, sexy.... just gorgeous!!! I am very happy and very pleased, and since I do not cut my hair too often, I will definitely invest in driving a little farther from my house just to getting it cut with Ivy. Thank you so much Aura Hair Studio for making the lives of curly girls so much more manageable!!! I can't wait to send all my curly friends to you.
