I have used three or four other Heating and Air Conditioning contractors since moving to Brentwood in 2008, but hit the jackpot when I called Ed Kuhn. He came highly recommended on Angie's list and after having him out twice, I know why.
He is a genuinely nice gentleman and he treats you fairly. The first time he came out he put dye in with a freon addition so that if we lost freon again he would be able to see where the issue was. He could have come out again and again and charged me for freon each time, but he came out the second time, took his black light and found the freon leaks and is going to deal with the manufacturer as the system is still under warranty. He didn't sell the unit--he didn't install it--it's not even a brand he is associated with but he's going to do the legwork to get the coil replaced so I don't have to. He is charging me time and materials, as I would expect, but I don't think many other companies would go above and beyond like he is.
I recommend him highly--and am truly appreciative for all his help.
