When i first went in to this store, the owner Ann warmly greeted me like an old friend. I had only been to the locations in the city where I work, but when we moved to the Valley, I was thrilled to find a Hansen's Cakes in Tarzana. The store is smaller than the Fairfax shop, but big on nice.\r
She told me how all the cakes are made on Fairfax I was surprised for a minute before I realized that a bakery that makes such imaginative cakes in such a big volume must need a big place to produce them. It made sense. I only wish that I could run in on a Saturday morning and buy a half sheet, but know that I can get one if I just take the time to remember to order it a couple of days in advance. Not a problem. \r
This is the bakery that has my heart and tummy captive.
