Review content:
I've been going to this theatre on and off for years. Yes, there are hits, and yes, every now and then a miss--like anything and everything. Kitt N Kaboodle is rather venomous overall with the review-geez. Mentions that ""went with friends who loved the productions"" Also mentions that it's "" a vanity theatre"" where it's run by family. Seems like this person might be a little too involved with their review--like maybe there's a PERSONAL issue there. There's a lot of that in this valley--bitter people, who instead of trying to build things up--struggle instead to tear it down. There have been various theatre groups throughout this valley through the years, and what made them fail was just that-EGO. Palm Canyon Theatre always strikes me as people who let that ego take a back seat while everyone pulls together to put on the best production possible. When you get the negative egos pulling against one another--that's when there's trouble. PCT has been around HOW long? Thirteen years I believe, so they must be doing something right--and I hope they keep going and going. I've seen a lot of shows there-many, many more good than bad, and I'll keep going back. Plus they dare to take risks now and then (Rockey Horror-Reefer Madness)--AND I don't have to sit next to someone who's immediately offended by EVERYTHING, like at the McCallum. Maybe Kit should spend their dollars (a lot more of them) down valley to see a show instead.
