I was quoted $299.00 to ship a carbon frame (very light weight) 47cm bike across the country with no insurance and 1"" foam and that price did not include the cost for them to pack it. He said he charged the same rate as FedEX. I told him forget it and went to McGhees bike shop to ask what they would charge to ship. They told me $35 to package it and $177.00 without their FedEX discount which they will give me when they go to send it (they need dimenesions and weight first).I am so glad I did not go with Box Brothers and I felt like I was taken advantage of, however, maybe that guy just didn't know what he was doing. Bottom line: if you want to ship a bike go to the local bike shop (LBS) McGhees is awesome.
