Im a fan of other BluePlate restuarants, but Highland falls behind the standards of their other locations like Longfellow of Groveland.\r

Stay away from highland *if they are busy*. The kitchen rushes food out and it is consistently poorly prepared. I spent 12 years growing up in a family restaurant and I can tell when the kitchen is the problem. Mind you, servers are nice and efficient at Highland, its the food that you have to watch out for.\r

Its also pretty pricey for what you get--which would be fine IF its good.\r

I experienced another lousy meal there recently and emailed the manager with a detailed description of what went wrong.\r

She didn't even bother to respond--which tells me she thinks they are busy enough that she doesn't have to care.\r
\r
Eventually that attitude will undo the restaurant--and certainly such sloppy food will do so.
Pros: Nice location and servers
Cons: Unreliable food, bad management
