This was once an out-of-the way, unassuming neighborhood bar, but now a local political group comes in every night - not simply as an afterwork hangout but to do more work, and they think they run the place. If you leave your seat to have a smoke outside or go pee, forget it. Most of them are rather nerdy kids who will confront you rather rudely and ask whether you are politically correct; others will simply walk up to you and declare that they want to have a conversation with you. A number of the old regulars have been walking with their feet; others just shake their heads in disgust, and there aren't many of them left. Every night the bar gets calls from neighbors complaining about these kids. The staff is still friendly, but it seems as if these people are held hostage.
