Review content:
I have purchased at least half a dozen pairs of eyeglasses through Payless Optical over the years. I will be picking up a pair (progressive bifocals with scratch coating that cost me $130) this week. In all those times only once did I have a problem, which they resolved. Yes, it takes 2 weeks, they are not a lab/manufacturer of lens. They basically obtain discontinued frames and send the frames in to Omaha? to have lenses put in, so it takes 2 weeks. They are SIGNIFICANTLY less expensive than other optical goods places in the area. I have saved anywhere from $50 to $200 on a pair of glasses compared to other vendors (Sears, LensCraft, Eyeglass World, etc.) even when they are on sale elsewhere.\r The selection of frames is not always the best, I have had to go back and check them every few weeks until I found one that worked for me. I have found them friendly but understaffed. Sometimes you have to wait. If you need to talk to the manager, it is best to call ahead as he has at least 1 to 2 days off a week. It is basicaly a small operation. Pros: cheap, cheap, cheap; friendly Cons: slow, limited selection
