Gemmette Hair Studio is fairly new to the area that I live in. I decided to give it a try because going into the city to get my hair done was becoming a hassle. Well that was the best decision i ever made. Aside from the atmosphere of the salon being absolutely physically gorgeous, it was very welcoming as well. As soon as you enter the studio, the entire staff is ready to cater to your needs. I had made my appointment just for a haircut because I was hesitant to try color or any other services and wanted to make sure I felt comfortable with the stylist I was seeing, which was the owner, Jeff. I immediately knew that my treck to the city was over when I met and spoke with him. He allowed time for a thorough consultation in which he listened carefully to what I wanted and the processes my hair had gone through in the past. (He was able to listen to me and my picky thoughts for about 15 minutes) I didnt think my visit to the studio could have been much better after drinking a cappuccino and being massaged at the shampoo station until I saw my hair after being cut and styled. It was amazing. Nonetheless, I was given the option to make standing appointments for the year, and I did for color and cuts. The staff is wonderful, the place is gorgeous, and it is convenient to get ""city service"" right here on Staten Island.
