Having lived in San Antonio, TX and Albuquerque, NM, we've had our share of great Mexican food prepared in a few different ways. El Jefe's is simply not good. The tacos we had were *loaded* with cotija cheese which just overpowered everything, but even when scraped off they were just ok. The enchiladas were like something you'd expect from a Chili's or comparable. The salsas available were nothing special, and the ""Mexican rice"" was the same as the minute rice and frozen veggies we used to eat in college. Prices were too high for the quality of food available
Save your money and head to Robeto's Taco Shop for better food.
