Review content:
Our five year old SONY TV decided to quit on us one evening and I assumed it would require a repair tech to fix it. Looking at ratings and feedback, I first went to another shop, but after almost 24 hours with no response, decided to try Ableman. My call was picked up by a technician who after listening, suggested it sounded like a lamp issue and advised me that is typically something an owner can replace. He patiently provided detailed guidance as to how to remove the assembly, which I did and brought into the shop. The owner (I think) was at the desk and between answering several calls, was able to find a replacement lamp and installed it for me. He also gave me tips on how to avoid problems when re-installing the assembly into the TV. \r \r While there, I observed he was professional and ethical, in one case advising a potential client the problem he had was not worth repairing due to the age of the TV and the expense to repair it. I'm pretty confident I found a good shop to which I will refer others.
