I've gone to Salon Joseph for haircuts, thread waxing, and it's always been a great experience. Joe is super-creative and always gives me a stunning cut. Lori ( is very gentle and precise and sweet. They both truly enjoy making me look good. Actually that's the vibe I get from the whole salon: friendly, low-key, professional, excited about their work. \r

I never feel I'm being pushed to buy anything, but the minute I ask about a product, everyone knows exactly what to recommend to me and why ( hair type, etc.). You feel like you're in very capable hands with these guys, which is nice because other places have this kind of factory feel – like they're churning you down an assembly line. But at Salon Joseph the people always have time to answer questions and discuss beauty regimens and whatever. \r

It's a cute space, too, – I always feel like I'm sneaking into some private hideaway or little club. It seems to be part of a really cool, evolving neighborhood \r
I recommend the place to friends and out-of-towners alike, and a few of my recommendations have turned into regulars. . But for a nice chill experience and quality ""me"" time, this is great place to get yourself fixed up. \r
