I bought a 2003 Ford Escape from them last year. Some red-headed boy harassed me for an hour to purchase an extended warranty. It was the first new car I had ever bought, so I finally gave in. After about 10 months, the check engine light came on. I took it in, and had to pay a $300 diagnostic fee. I was then informed that it would cost me $2200 just to take the transmission apart to see if the computer diagnostic had been correct. Of course the warranty doesn't cover that! They told me that if the computer was wrong, i would still have to pay to $2200 JUST to take the transmission apart. Plus, I would still have to pay an additional fee to get the problem fixed. I can not afford to gamble with $2200 so I just walked away with my car. I took it to another mechanic, who informed me I just needed to reset the system since I had used the vehicle to tow a trailer when I moved. Turns out there was nothing wrong with my car. I was going to pay thousands of dollars for nothing!! Don't trust them, they are swindlers!! Don't waste your time or money with Fordland!! Cons: They are swindlers!
