DO NOT BUY A USED CAR FROM THIS DEALER! I had bought a usded Murano from Lakewood Fordland on May 4. By the end of May I had a tire pressure sesor light on (meaning the sesor was bad), and the passenger airbag sensor was broken that turns the airbag on and off depending on weight. When I bought the car I was told the brakes were squeeky because they were new brakes. In June I drove the car down the mountains and when I applied the brakes the entire car shook. I took the car in to be fixed. This is what they told me. They turned off the lights ( I am betting they turn back on because they did not fix anything) and that the brakes were shot and it would be $600 to fix. After some pleading and talking about how they should fix the brakes and never should have sold the car like this, they said the brakes are not that bad, just do not drive down the mountain where they can heat up, which causes the shaking. So they are not fixing the brakes, a safety issue. So much for their 72 point safety inspection. The passenger air bag does not work, and the brakes do not work. be aware! more

I initially contacted Rick over the internet. I was interested in a Ford Escape Hybrid. Unfortunately this was right after they went out of production. There were only a few left in Colorado, but he looked. I decided on a standard Ford Escape and viewed the internet site. I found 2 in stock I liked, called Rick, and they were out front when I got there. I bought one and felt very good with the price. more

The folks at Lakewood Fordland were very responsive, patient, and courteous. I was shown all of the vehicles I was interested in and all of the options were explained in detail. They allowed me to see how well grandma's wheelchair fit in the trunk of several models to make sure we had a good fit. Lakewood Fordland was a pleasure to do business with. I never felt pressured or hurried. Jason Greer helped us find a splendid 2012 Ford Focus with a sun roof. The vehicle was super clean and well prepped for my family. more

We had a great experience at Lakewood Fordland! We originally went in looking for a Ford Fusion, but we left with a 2012 Ford Escape; we are so happy! Rick Fair was amazing at helping us find what we really wanted; it was like shopping with an old friend. We will always go back to this location for any future car buying needs! more

This dealership was outstanding. They ordered my Explorer for me that was 100% correct. It is so nice- the customer service was also wonderful and they had the vehicle waiting for me upon my arrival. The finance end was also super! Thanks guys- I love my 2013 Ford Explorer XLT with all of the bells and whistles! more

Do not go here, especially if single women!!! They see us through a 1950's lens and haven't gotten up to date!! Customer service guy called agai. After I bought a different car from a great dealer to patch things up and only made it worse. They told me I denied giving them info the night I was in or they would have given a more educated payment price. This was a lie and couldn't believe coming froma customer service guy trying to fix their rep. This is why I now chose to write a review. I will never consider a Ford, especially there! Poor, poor management!!!!! more

This was by far the worst experience I 3/22/2012

This was by far the worst experience I ever had. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The salesman was nice enough, but the guy in the office who ""closed the deal"" was a snake. I got so screwed. If you are thinking of purchasing a vehicle I would highly suggest you go somewhere else. more

Simply the most miserable experience 2/29/2012

Simply the most miserable experience imaginable. My father drove Fords his whole life, and always bought them at Fordland, for as long as I can remember. I bought my first new car there, as well, at the old location on Colfax. However, after changing locations,I don't know what has happened to them. I was recently in the market for an upgrade in vehicle, but was very quickly put off ever buying from those people ever again. The salesmen are overly aggressive and unknowledgeable. The finance manager is blatantly rude and unaccommodating. There are signs everywhere celebrating their 50th anniversary, but the level of professionalism is what you'd expect from some fly-by-night junker lot on east Colfax. Probably worse. Even worse than the sales department is the parts department. Not a soul in that has a clue what they're doing. The first time I even tried to find the parts department at the new location, I almost gave up before I did, and I wish I had. I had to wait three weeks to have the same part ordered wrong twice- a very simple radiator hose for my pickup. After the second time receiving the wrong part, both of which I was made to pre-pay for, I asked to speak to the manager. After waiting an interminably long time, a very pompous and exasperated man finally came to stumble through their computer diagrams, showing me nothing and saying he didn't understand their catalog. The manager finally had to go ask somebody else who apparently knew exactly what it was I was looking for, but they still had to get it from out of state. When the manager told me I'd have to pay the freight and pre-pay for the part again with no proof they had gotten it right, I told him to forget it. I got my refund from the second wrong hose & left. As I was leaving the cashier, I overheard the manager bad-mouthing me, saying that I was an a**hole who wasted THEIR time. Unbelievable! Anyway, a few years has passed since that incident, and since I was in the neighborhood, I figured I could stop in for transmission fluid. Boy, was I wrong! I told the guy behind the counter I needed 5 qts. of Mercon V, and I'm not sure if he just didn't speak English, but he whispered something and walked away. I waited for 5-10 minutes looking at the cheap Chinese tools they have cluttering up their sales area, but no one ever came back to the counter. When I finally got fed up and left, I saw the same guy who abandoned me at the counter driving away in one of the dealership's delivery trucks. They have lost my business forever and I strongly recommend that everyone avoid them at all costs. more

Please don't go........No Rating. I had a very bad experience with Fordland Lakewood. They sold me Porsche couple of days ago without any prior information regarding issues with the vehical. After 1 Week I came to know that trunk is not working properly and Brakes are completly out due to whcih I ended up spending $1000 right after I purchased. No one is ready to listen, i spoke to the Sales Manager and he said that there is nothing he can do now. more

Shocked at the staff and managers...don't go there 3/13/2011

No star rating low enough for this crew of creeps. But you have to put in a star to finish the post. So I gave them one but would like to give them none.\r The salesman-some guy named Nima was wired for sound! Yup it's true, complete with constant sniffles, darting eyes and an attitude more in keeping with a street thug than a professional automobile salesman. I really didn't feel comfortable giving this guy any of my personal information, toward a purchase.\r If that wasn't bad enough, the guy he brought in for back-up pressure was a throw-back from somewhere in the 80s. An over toasted bad spray on tan, loud mouthed little guy with a clear Napolean complex. He was dressed for it too...like a peacock preening for everyone. I think his name was Pete. Barking orders at everyone, he dressed down a salesman right out in front of everyone. It was embarassing to watch. I can only imagine what it was for the salesman. Clearly some of the patrons were not impressed with his show. In the middle of the ego-fest and mad hatter routine, he had the nerve to suggest that I didn't know my own mind and the car I was interested in just wasn't the right one for me. The one he decided I should drive home was not something I wanted but of course it was much more expensive than the one I had test driven.\r To make the whole thing more uncomfortable, his less than flattering opionion of my ability to make up my own mind, was loud enough to be heard by most of the people sitting at other nearby tables. I kept think; where did the get this guy, from a sideshow somewhere? \r Obviously I had just about had enough of the high pressure performance and finally got up to leave. They had my drivers license and let me cool my heels waiting for Nima to come back from where ever with it. \r The most upsetting part of the whole horrendous ordeal was that when I was leaving, he didn't wait quite long enough for me to be far enough away from the door to not overhear him say, ""f-him.""\r Don't bother to go there. You can get a better show and much better treatment at the local zoo. more

My Fordland Nightmare 8/4/2010

I know this is long but it's 100% true and worth reading, this dealership has traumatized me............\r \r P.S I was a loyal buyer, this was the 2nd vehicle in my household that I bought from them.....but never again! \r \r My nightmare of an experience started when we went to the dealership and we were greeted by a friendly faced- salesman- Ray. He was nice and low pressure which made us feel very comfertable with our experience. We ended up falling in love with a used f-350. After negotiating and signing papers the truck was ours to take home. We had the truck for a little over a week when it started stalling out in the middle of the road. We were pretty frustrated since the truck was already begining to fail and we hadn't even had the truck long enough to make our first car payment. I took it into the dealership right before the holiday weekend and they said that they wouldn't be able to get to the truck til the following wednesday. So they gave us a loaner car. The next friday rolled around and they still hadn't called, so I gave them a call to find out what was going on. First they couldn't find record of the truck in the computer and then they said, ""oh yeah it's fixed, just come get it whenever you get a chance."" Shortly after I arrived to pick it up, went to the cashier and again she couldn't find record of the truck or the keys to it. She said I'll be right back and went and talked to the service manager, he came up to me and said that they were going to pull the truck around for me. I asked for the paperwork on what was done and he stated that there was nothing for me to sign. I told him that I needed record of what was done. He disapeared for a few minutes and returned with the paperwork. I drove off of the lot and not even 10minutes into my drive home I started experiencing the same problems. I called them right away and told them what was going on. They told me to bring it back in. So I did. Same issue and they gave us another loaner car for an additional 7 days they didn't even call us to tell us that they were working on the issue or anything. So I started calling everyday and stopping in to talk to someone. My boyfriend and I wanted to talk with someone else at the dealership to see if anything else could be done or if they could take the truck back since we bought it, had it for a month and only drove it for one week, and it was in the shop for the remainder of the time. They said that they would work with us on finding another vehicle since they obviously sold us something that was no where near reliable. They came back to us with a quote on an F-150 that was $100/mo. more expensive than our already $400/mo payment. Like it was a joke to them. When they spoke to my boyfriend they reffered to him as ""young man"" totally insulting!! Since then we got the truck back without anything being fixed stating that they could not find any problems with the truck. About a month later the truck mysteriously had no issues, but then suddenly totally broke down on the side of the road, wouldn't be able to go any further. They made us pay for a tow truck to pick it up and drop it off at the dealership. They told us the repairs werent covered under the warranty and that we would also have to pay $900 for the repair and refused to give us a loaner car as advertised when we bought our truck. This repair lasted less than a week. The truck is now in the shop at a different dealership and this mechanic stated that the original repairs to the EGR valve were not even done correctly and that the engine could have blown due to the coolant. more

Fordland ROCKS, Ney Sayers Must be crazy 12/10/2009

My Experience was so Positive, The Salesman was not stereotypical, he truly wanted to help me find a Used vehicle that I could afford. He even offered to give my vehicle specifications to his used car manger for a sale at a later date ... Honestly who does that? However I was lucky they had just purchased a 2008 Ford Explorer at the auction that day with low miles, one owner, clean service records etc... that day. I actually had to wait to take delivery so they could do the emissions test and get it detailed. I researched the price I paid and it was right within the NADA and Kelley Bluebook guidelines. I will most definitely be recommending Lakewood Ford to my friends Pros: Most Helpful , Low Pressure Sales staff Cons: TBA more

Run, run away from Fordland!! 7/21/2009

I bought a 2003 Ford Escape from them last year. Some red-headed boy harassed me for an hour to purchase an extended warranty. It was the first new car I had ever bought, so I finally gave in. After about 10 months, the check engine light came on. I took it in, and had to pay a $300 diagnostic fee. I was then informed that it would cost me $2200 just to take the transmission apart to see if the computer diagnostic had been correct. Of course the warranty doesn't cover that! They told me that if the computer was wrong, i would still have to pay to $2200 JUST to take the transmission apart. Plus, I would still have to pay an additional fee to get the problem fixed. I can not afford to gamble with $2200 so I just walked away with my car. I took it to another mechanic, who informed me I just needed to reset the system since I had used the vehicle to tow a trailer when I moved. Turns out there was nothing wrong with my car. I was going to pay thousands of dollars for nothing!! Don't trust them, they are swindlers!! Don't waste your time or money with Fordland!! Cons: They are swindlers! more
