Review content:
My not-so-great experience began with my phone call to place an order. The young woman who I dealt with was less than helpful and actually a little bit snippy. I told her I had never been there before and wanted help selecting flavors for cupcakes and frosting. She made me repeat EVERY SINGLE THING I said at least twice, and not just to confirm things. She just didn't understand my simple request for six rather ordinary cupcakes. She wasn't helpful. When I sent my husband to pick up the cupcakes, they were already sealed in a box so he couldn't even look at them without destroying the box. Since they were a gift, he didn't want to end up with the wrong cupcakes, but he also couldn't get enough assistance to get a new box. STRIKE ONE.\r
\r
When we finally did open the box, we had no clue what flavor was what since three of the six cupcakes looked identical and we did not order any duplicates. (I had ordered specific flavors for specific people.) We decided to just cut up the cupcakes and share since we didn't know what flavor was what. All except for the ""Reese's"" flavor, we didn't like any of them very much and never did manage to identify what one of those three identical cupcakes was, which doesn't say much for their flavor.\r
We were also disappointed to see that these were cupcakes only the size of what you would make at home, not the generously sized ones you would normally get from a place that specializes in cakes and cupcakes. STRIKE TWO. \r
\r
We found the cupcakes to be dry. The frosting was waaaaay too sweet, and I'm a sugar addict - I don't know if I've ever said something was too sweet before in my lifetime. Also, the frosting didn't taste fresh and we couldn't tell what it was made out of - maybe buttercream? Yuck. I think so, because it was greasy and I specifically said that we didn't want any buttercream frosting and was assured that it wasn't when I ordered the cupcakes. STRIKE THREE.\r
\r
Guess, what, Violet's Cakes? YOU'RE OUT! !!\r
\r
How in the world could you possibly have won anything on Food Network, as you claim? \r
