My mother went to Kwik Kar Lube & Tune about 5 or so years ago and they stole her hazard light signal button and a little circut thing that kept her blinkers working. When we pulled in our blinkers worked, we waited a little over an hour for the oil change to get finnished then when we pulled out I noticed the blinker light in the dash wasn't working and told my mom. She took it to our mechanic the next day and he said that someone took a flathead screwdriver to the hazard light button, popped out what the guy needed, and put a cover on it so we wouldn't notice and for it to look like he hadn't done anything. My mom spent a a month and a half trying to get them to pay for it, they didn't return her phone calls for a month and since they're not a part of the Better Business Buearuo and we had no proff that it was them we couldn't do anything about it. finally about 6 weeks later they returned her phone call, appoligized for how long it took for them to return her call but the tapes in the shop get written over every 30 days so there's nothing they could do about it. I bought my first car about 6 months ago and will NEVER take it to them!!! Thankfully our mechanic, Scott, is INCREDIBLY AWSOME and since we had a really bad vehicle and had to take it to Scott every other week he knew we hadn't done it and replaced it for free. He wouldn't let my mother pay for those people's crap. It would've cost over $100 to fix.
