I grew up 4 blocks from Ivanhoe's on Main Street in Upland. There is no greater ice cream place in America and I can say that after having lived in 10 different states. Their signature claim to fame is 100 shakes and 100 sundaes. People from all over Indiana and the midwest stop at exit 59 on I-69 just to visit Ivanhoe's. On ANY given evening, not just Friday or Saturday night, you will find Ivanhoe's buzzing with activity. The food is also great too, such as the delicious onion rings. The owners refuse to open a second store so that the ""small town nostalgia"" quality isn't buried by greed and quantity. Sooo......get your friend, spouse, girlfriend or boyfriend and head over to Ivanhoe's for a great shake and lots of laughs on a warm summer evening. You'll be so glad you did!
