Ivanhoe's Drive In

I grew up 4 blocks from Ivanhoe's on Main Street in Upland. There is no greater ice cream place in America and I can say that after having lived in 10 different states. Their signature claim to fame is 100 shakes and 100 sundaes. People from all over Indiana and the midwest stop at exit 59 on I-69 just to visit Ivanhoe's. On ANY given evening, not just Friday or Saturday night, you will find Ivanhoe's buzzing with activity. The food is also great too, such as the delicious onion rings. The owners refuse to open a second store so that the ""small town nostalgia"" quality isn't buried by greed and quantity. Sooo......get your friend, spouse, girlfriend or boyfriend and head over to Ivanhoe's for a great shake and lots of laughs on a warm summer evening. You'll be so glad you did! more

Ivanhoes is one of the best places to get ice cream.. or atleast my favorite! My family drives an hour just to get some good old ice cream... If u are ever near Marion, Muncie, or Upland IN, u should really stop here and get some good ice cream. Pros: Good Ice cream more

Pick up the menu and study carefully but choose wisely from a list of 100 different shakes and 100 different sundaes. Not quite ready to appease your sweet tooth? Then try one of their delicious hamburgers or incredible salads. The produce is always fresh, and the menu items are packed full of flavor. My favorite is the chicken salad sampler, served in a fresh red tomato or on top a bowl of ripe fresh fruit.......Yummmm!
