Moved into one of their efficiencies last September, signing a lease for 16-months (with first and last month free. In December, we received a notice that on January 1st, 2008 , our rent would go up by $10 dollars a month. It said that all residents needed to come sign a new lease by Dec. 31st, or they would automatically be put on a month-to-month lease. The month to month lease included a fine of $25 every month.I began paying the rent increase and the month-to-month penalty in January. In late January my girlfriend moved in with me and had to be added to the lease. We also asked about getting a bigger apartment, but were told we would have to sign a new 1- year lease if we did that. So the office manager, had her sign the back of the old lease, so she could get a parking pass and not be towed. It is now May, and I have found a great apartment big enough for the 2 of us and my daughter when she visits. I went to the office manager (the 3rd different one since we moved in) and they have no memory of the December newsletter and say we are both locked into a lease until Dec. 2008. They said they would check the facts then let me know if we were ok to leave. 28 hours later, here i sit, writing a review for them. At this point it feels like they are not contacting me so that i will lose the new apartment that i need tpo sign a lease on. VERY EVIL!!! Pros: When I moved in I was only paying 425 for an efficiency Cons: the mental patients that live here, and incompitent staff
