Review content:
I unfortunately went to this bakery due to the recommendation of a friend. I ordered a cake for our baby girl's 3rd birthday party. My husband went to get the cake, and not knowing what it should look like, paid the $50 for it and left. When he got home with it I cried because it was the most hideously ugly thing I had ever seen. He hated it and wanted to throw it in the trash right then and go get something else, but I said no, that maybe I could fix it. It was supposed to be a Disney Little Mermaid cake, but it was a grey cake and a far cry from anything Disney. The tiny ""decoration"" they made for the center of the cake looked like a pencil sketched paper doll from the 1950's. They had a picture of what Ariel looked like and said ""no problem"", but obviously could not do the work they promised. The thing they drew looked like a brown haired, deformed doll with arm-pit hair. It was truly awful! And that was all they put on the cake for my 3 yr. old. A three inch little drawing on a giant 1/2 sheet cake with grey frosting. No flowers..nothing. I didn't have time to take the cake back, so I ripped the hideous thing off the middle and put a few Disney mermaids and party favors on the cake in a last ditch effort to fix the atrocity. Then, telling myself that a 3 yr. old won't care what it looks like as long as it tastes good, I served it at her party. OMG-it tasted horrible. I'm not a very picky person, especially when it comes to cake-lol- but we ended up throwing the whole thing in the trash. Even the kids said it tasted ""funny"" and all the adults could say was""Um-interesting?"" What a waste of $50! Any Safeway, Target, or Wal-Mart cake for $25 would have looked 1000 percent better, AND we could have eaten it. *SAD:(
