Review content:
We rented a condo from this property management company and had a horrible experience. First, when we moved in the garage door was broken and it took a month for Realm to get someone out to fix. Next, the heater broke during winter and I had to call three times before they got someone to come out, which took two weeks of no heat, ridiculous. The next problem was when Realm sent us an eviction notice because of unpaid rent. They stated that they never received our check. After I notified my bank, I realized that the check had been cashed almost a week prior. Come to find out that they credited another tenant for our rent check! They tried to charge us late fees and said we had to get out in 3 days. After they realized that they made the mistake, they never apologized and blamed us for not writing the address in the memo line. These people are so disorganized and inconsiderate that I would steer clear of using them for any rental purposes. The last straw came when we moved out. We cleaned the entire condo and left it in better condition than when we moved in and they still charged us for cleaning. Unfortunately we did not take pictures upon moving in so that was something that we had no control over, they got us by the short and curlies. They also told me that they do not do walk throughs upon moving out, they had me come in and sign the move out agreement before they looked at the apartment, that was my mistake again. Do not let them do this to you because they are lazy and looking to get all the money out of you they possibly can. That is a mistake that I will never make again. Beware that if you are considering a rental property managed by Realm that you need to document everything, take pictures, make copies and cover your a@# in every possible way because they are disorganized and not concerned about treating tenants with respect. They will rob you and laugh in your face.
