Businiess name:  Gaertner Roethke Flowers
Review by:  citysearch c.
Review content:
I called Gaertner Flowers at 989-754-8447 at 4:41 pm on 3/9/2012 to place a $75 dollar order for an arrangement to be delivered on 3/12/2012 to the Case Funeral Home. The attendant on the phone took down the information for the sympathy card, we had a discussion about the arrangement type (I even provided an item number from their website, however the attendent informed me that the items on their website are not actually available for purchase), and took my credit card information. The attendant assured me repeatedly that the arrangement would be deliverd to the funeral home in time for the 1 pm service. After returning from a business trip on 3/15/2012, I reviewed my bank statement online, and ascertained that Gaertner's had not charged my account for the flowers. Immediately panicing, I called Gaertner's, and was rudely informed that the person answering the phone could not locate a record for my order. The individual on the phone went on to state that ""these things happen"" with the tight timelines associated with funerals. She did offer to send flowers (charging me of course) to the family, at their home, however, when I stated the family lives in Grand Rapids, she retracted this offer and stated there was nothing she could do. I am incredibly upset at the terrible position Gaertner's has put me in, I am so embarrassed that it must have appeard that I was so inconsiderate to not send anything to the funeral home for the family of a close friend. I want to make sure that no one else falls prey to the careless and indifferent business practices of Gaertner floral, to know that you cannot rely on this business to follow through on their business committments.
