Taking my husband to Emeril's was my surprise for his birthday. What a disappointing surprise. It took 10 minutes for us to even get menus, 20 minutes to get water on the table, 30 minutes before we ordered and then 30 minutes in between getting each dish (soup, entree, and dessert). The food was disappointing too. The lobster and scallop bisque essentially was red water, the lobster salad was fancy coleslaw and you couldn't even taste the lobster because it was overwhelmed with a sour citrus flavor, the mac and cheese was runny and flavorless, the grits tasted like lemon grass, the pecan pie wasn't sweet at all!! The shrimp and scallops were decent. The gumbo, banana pie and Jack Daniel's chocolate ice cream were good.
