Review content:
I brought my two teenage kids to see Dave Mihaly. My daughter plays the drums, my son plays the guitar. They both have been pleased and inspiried by the lessons they have been given. My son is not so keen on written information and is more an 'ear' player. Dave taught him to read tablature and works with ear training and is introducing him to reading on a staff, as well as showing him chords and songs he enjoys. My daughter is more of a reader and is learning to play rhythms from a method book as well as learning beats she likes from her favorite songs. They both study once a week for a half hour (each). They had previous negative experiences with other teachers, so my wife and I are thrilled. We like him, and so do our kids.
Pros: Good communicator and teacher. Good rapport.
